Aristotle sex manual offers tips on old-fashioned baby-making

1/5/2013

A rare 1760s copy of a long-banned sex manual attributed to Aristotle — though it's unclear how much of his work appears in it — will be offered for auction this month in the England. Conceived as a guide for midwives and young couples looking to learn about making love and babies, the book was among the most printed of its kind. "It tells an amazing story about the changing perspectives on sex,'' book specialist Cathy Marsden tells the Telegraph. There are illustrations, too, but, Marsden warns, "There's nothing in it that would really be considered dirty in our society now. It's funny more than anything." Oh well. [Source]
