Arizona cracks down on the terrible crime of parody Twitter accounts
2/9/2013When people talk about the crime problem in America, you know what's at the top of their list of complaints: fake Twitter accounts. There's nothing worse than thinking you're following @williamshatner, when it's really just @wi11iamshatn3r. Thankfully, Arizona's legislature is finally attacking these unverified villains with new measures that would make such accounts illegal. State Representative Michelle Ugenti has introduced a bill that would make it a class 5 felony to impersonate someone online, including on a social media site. Take that, @fakers! Here's hoping all those cheap celebrity jokes were worth some jail time in the desert. [Source]
