Armed men no match for pole-wielding 11-year-old

They breed them tough in Manchester, England. An 11-year-old girl who found armed men in her family home promptly attacked them with a curtain rod. The three balaclava-clad men had broken into the house after 11pm, where allegedly they held a gun to her father's head and threatened her mother with a brick. The disturbance woke their sleeping daughter, who ran into the room brandishing her weapon. The thieves then fled with some gold bracelets, having been "confused and startled" by the girl, according to police. The cops added: "Her actions were very brave, and at the same time it's very lucky she didn't come to any harm."
