Dedicated soccer fan the only supporter at his team's away game

Faced with half an empty stadium, a lesser man might have balked at being the only fan there supporting his team. Not Arrigo Brovedani. This dedicated soccer fan was the sole Udinese Calcio supporter in the team's designated area of the stadium in Genoa, Italy, during their away game against UC Sampdoria. A lonely figure amidst the 4,134 empty seats, Brovedani (who traveled more than 300 miles to attend) cheered his team and held his ground. "When I went in the local fans booed me," the stalwart fan said. "I felt a bit offended. But in the end they clapped and invited me for coffee and a meal." Brovedani's efforts paid off – his team won 2-0 and dedicated the victory to their number one fan. [Source]
