Idiot thieves loot museum but toss most valuable painting

11/12/2012

Cash-strapped museums in South Africa often lack the security measures that are standard around the world — you know, things like guards. The one win for art lovers is that the thieves were forced to leave behind a painting by famed South African artist Irma Stern when it wouldn't fit in their getaway car. Experts say that it was likely to have been the most valuable piece in their haul. [Source]
