Ashton Kutcher's Steve Jobs movie is a miss at Sundance
1/27/2013Sundance saw the premiere of the cutely titled "jOBS," a biopic about Apple founder Steve Jobs, starring Ashton Kutcher. The idea of smaller, tech-based stories blown into gripping personal drama was manifested gorgeously in "The Social Network," but in the first buzz from Sundance, no one is making that particular parallel. Reports say the script is wooden and the secondary characters not written well enough to play against Kutcher’s titular hero. However, Kutcher's work has received high praise, with critics saying he disappears into the role. And Aaron Sorkin, who wrote the "Social Network," is also writing his own version of Jobs' story. Maybe we'll hold onto our popcorn money and wait for that one. [Source]
