World's busiest airport briefly closed because of a toothbrush
1/4/2013Atlanta's Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport is the busiest in the world, but on Friday morning, it was brought to a screeching halt because of an unattended toothbrush. An electric toothbrush that started buzzing in a checked bag bound for an AirTran flight was enough to make several workers alert the authorities (we'll presume that they didn't know it was a toothbrush at the time), and the terminals were immediately closed and rail service to the airport was suspended. You can't blame the ATL staffers for being too cautious, though. The first confiscated gun of 2013 was pulled out of a passenger's carry-on on Wednesday. [Source]
