8/20/2012The home of the Masters golf tournament has finally mastered progress (sort of). For the first time in its 80-year history, Augusta National Golf Club has invited two females (!) into its elite fold. You've probably heard of the first honoree: former Secretary of State Condoleeza Rice. The second lady on the links, South Carolina businesswoman Darla Moore, may not be a household name, but she's probably pretty jazzed to gather on the greens with the big boys. This finally ends the decade-old controversy that began when the former chairman announced that the club would never break up its good-ol'-boys club. Better late than never, we say. Now how about upping those numbers, Augusta? We know. Baby steps. [Source]
