HS goalie has pro-level freak-out, scores on himself, flips off coach

2/14/2013

There's a difference in going out with a bang and going out with a "WTF?!" Austin Krause, a goalie at Farmington High School in Minnesota, chose Option No. 2, ending his senior year — and potentially his hockey career — by scoring a goal for his opponents, flipping off his coach and skating off the ice. Krause's goal tied the game at 2-2 and, while he was smirking to himself in the locker room, Chaska Senior High School scored the go-ahead against Farmington's third-string netminder. Krause was reportedly pissed about losing his starting slot to a sophomore and had been planning to quit. His teammates probably wish he'd done it about an hour earlier. [Source]
