Gay Texas police remind teens 'it gets better' in sweet video
9/25/2012Texas isn't known for being a place that embraces diversity or opens its arms widely to its gay and lesbian residents. So the Austin Police Department — which, being a law enforcement agency, isn't famous for delivering the warm fuzzies — decided to change its image a bit. The result is an "It Gets Better" video made up of APD's gay and lesbian police officers, reaching out to bullied LGBTQ teens through the national campaign. The clip is chock-full of uplifting words and touching stories, making it no surprise to us that it's gone viral.
