Australians next in line to protest Nickelback concert7/22/2012
For a successful band with a ton of fans, Nickelback is pretty unpopular. Last year, when Nickelback was slated to perform at halftime during the Thanksgiving Day game in Detroit, the Motown residents banded together and formed a petition to keep the Canadian rockers away. It didn’t work, but that hasn’t deterred a group of Aussie imitators. Mike Hohnen of MusicFeeds.com.au has put together a petition to stop Nickelback from going down under, and the signatures have already begun to pile up. Hohnen also includes a list of persuasive reasons to sign the petition, including, “Bieber was JUST here; fans of terrible Canadian music have had their fix” and “If you sign it I will be your best friend.” Hope you have room in your heart for a lot of best friends, Mike.
