Baby bear sneaks into house and snacks on chocolate cake10/7/2012
Homeowners in Arizona woke Thursday to find a black bear cub eating their chocolate cake after sneaking in a kitchen window (and presumably passing over bowls of porridge that were either too hot, or too cold.) The hungry orphaned baby bear was too young to fend for itself, and wildfires and drought in southeast Arizona have cut back on the bear's natural food supply. Bears have "an incredibly keen sense of smell even from long distances," according to Arizona's Game and Fish Department, and this hungry baby was drawn to the good stuff. The cub has been transferred to Heritage Park Zoo, where it will be fed regularly. Though probably not cake. We feel for you, little guy. [Source]
