His eyes and ears are beginning to open.

He was calm throughout, thanks to tender, loving care from his keepers.

At his third exam, the 39-day-old cub weighed 3.2 pounds.

He was calm throughout this checkup, too.

The newest cub was born on July 29.

The cub turned 25 days old on Aug. 23 and marked it with another check-up with the vets.

Zoo veterinarians pronounce the cub healthy and fit.

The tiny panda will be named when he's 100 days old, following a Chinese tradition.

Sure, we could tell you this is an adorable baby giant panda, the youngest of five cubs from San Diego Zoo’s panda-mom Bai Yun, and that through his first few checkups, he’s steadily gaining weight and doing well, but we’re about to pass out. What is going on?! This guy is just too cute. Can’t focus. Can only make inarticulate noises, squeals … AHH Must fight for brain!!! He’ll be named at 100 days old, a Chinese tradition San Diego observes with its baby pandas, but let’s be real: This baby already named himself “Mr. Adorable McKissMyNose” just by being born.
