Badass surfer punches attacking shark in the face

A Hawaiian surfer enjoying the waves at his favorite Oahu beach successfully fended off an attacking shark by punching the animal square in the face several times. Joshua Holley says that after spotting a large dorsal fin to his left, he felt popping sensations in his foot. When the shark came up on the other side of his board, Holley acted quickly: "I punched him once and twice with my right hand," he said. "I told the shark, 'I'm not gonna die today.'" The 10-foot-long tiger shark eventually swam away, but Holley's wounds required 42 stitches and surgery to repair tendons.
