Banners fly for third annual Swastika Rehabilitation Day
6/25/2012Beachgoers at the Jersey Shore had a serious WTF moment on a sun-splashed Saturday when out the blue they saw a swastika banner entangled with the Star of David fluttering from the tail of a small plane. The shocking aerial spectacle was part of the third annual Swastika Rehabilitation Day, a worldwide event sponsored by the International Raelian Movement to restore the Nazi icon as "a symbol of peace and good luck." Thomas Kaenzig, a spokesman for the Las Vegas-based group, said Raelians don't know whether they'll fly the banners again during next year's event. Our advice: Give it a miss.
