Barney Bush, the beloved former first dog, departs for doggie heaven

2/2/2013

It's a sad day for the family of George W. Bush. Arguably the most popular Bush residing in the White House during his presidency died: Barney the dog. The 12-year-old black Scottish terrier died of lymphoma, according to an announcement released Friday by the family. Barney was known for his boundless energy (he loved chasing golf balls), the time he bit a White House reporter who got in his personal space and his "Barney Cam," in which he gave video tours of the White House. And we weren't kidding about his popularity — he had his own page on the Bush Administration’s website, as well as a lengthy Wikipedia entry. [Source]
