Batman comic book sales blocked due to 'insensitive' gun references
7/26/2012
Wholly insensitive content, Batman! DC Comics has asked comic-book retailers to hold off on selling the new issue of "Batman Inc." because it "contains content that may be perceived as insensitive" following the Aurora "Dark Knight Rises" shootings. The issue, originally set to go on sale July 25 but now to be released on Aug. 22, includes several references to gun violence, including a scene in which a teacher pulls a gun on a classroom full of kids and dialogue in which a character mentions a "grisly bullet-ridden cadaver," TMZ reports. Yeah, maybe a little too soon. [Source]
