Men who like Batman (or Spidey) have better body image
9/19/2012You might not look like Bruce Wayne, but if you’re a fan of the Caped Crusader, you’re probably OK with that. A new study has found that men who felt a bond with Batman (or Spider-Man) were more satisfied with their bodies after seeing an image of the Dark Knight, while guys who weren’t fanboys felt worse about themselves. The study found that unlike previous studies in which seeing images of muscular bros made average dudes feel down about their bodies, having a personal connection to the superheroes made men feel better, and in some cases, actually made them stronger.
