The lowly banana becomes public enemy No. 1 at the BBC
1/7/2013To paraphrase either Confucius or Gwen Stefani, this sh*t is B-A-N-A-N-A-S. Or, more accurately, it's the opposite of that. After a BBC employee revealed that she had a severe banana allergy, her sympathetic co-workers created "banana-free zones," putting up posters that show the fruit beneath a circle-and-slash "NO" symbol. The BBC was quick to point out that the banana ban didn't come from its own execs, giving credit instead to this woman's incredibly nice colleagues. Banana Lady, you'd better be buying the first round at your next employees-only happy hour. Just skip the yellow daiquiris. [Source]
