Breakfast foods come together in new 'Abbey Road' cover art

9/13/2012

It’s one of the most iconic album covers ever -- the artwork for The Beatles’ 1969 masterpiece “Abbey Road,” which featured the foursome walking single file in a crosswalk. It’s now one of the tastiest, as well. Food sculptor Paul Baker was commissioned by Beefeater Grill, a British restaurant chain, to reproduce the cover using ingredients found on its menu. Baker chose to go with an English breakfast theme, incorporating beans, mushrooms, bacon, sausages, eggs, toast and fruit. He even used mushrooms to build Paul McCartney, who is a longtime vegetarian -- talk about realism. It took Baker and three assistants four days to complete the mosaic, which has been titled “Let it Bean.” [Source]
