Beauty queen gets $28K in lawsuit because wearing high heels hurts
7/21/2012Miss Edinburgh 2010 looks pretty like it's her job. Actually, as a beauty queen, it kind of is, and thus wearing high heels is part of her job description. So when Fiona Dickie was injured in a car accident that left her unable to wear stylish stilettos without suffering debilitating back pain the next day, it really cost her; she says it severely limited the amount of time she was able to spend at charity events. Dickie sued the driver who hit her and was awarded about $28,000 in compensation. Despite the pain, she still wears heels to charity events and for modeling jobs, for which the judge who awarded her that stack of cash says she should be commended. And she must look pretty darned good. [Source]
