Crazy vegan plans to brand man with hot iron to protest animal cruelty

1/21/2013

Some animal rights activists will do almost anything to get their message across. (Hello, PETA!) A 34-year-old London woman named Becky Folkard is now joining those ranks. This March, the vegan crusader plans to protest animal cruelty in the dairy industry by publicly using a hot iron to brand a male volunteer with the number "269," referring to an ear tag on a calf. Everyone involved in the event will be following in the footsteps of an October demonstration in Tel Aviv. The 10-minute protest will feature volunteers being held down, branded by someone in a scary black mask and then shackled like animals. Similar demonstrations are scheduled in cities in England, the US, Germany, Argentina, Australia and the Czech Republic. [Source]
