Smell coming from toilets sickens 53 people at Berlin airport
10/21/2012Stinky toilets at Berlin’s Tegel aiport have sickened 53 people, including firefighters who rushed to the airport to combat the fumes emanating from the public water closets. Unfortunately for comedians, 5-year-olds and other stinky-poo-humor fans worldwide, the incident turned out to be caused by an enthusiastic cleaning crew that used too much ammonia overnight. The powerful ammonia fumes caused nausea and sore eyes, which actually doesn’t sound so bad given what we originally assumed the smell was. German janitors might do well to take a tip from the bathroom cleaning crews of the U.S.: Don’t knock yourself (or anyone else) out, dudes. [Source]
