Ravens star says NFL will be gone in 30 years, player will die playing
1/28/2013Bernard Pollard is heading to the Super Bowl, but the Baltimore Ravens safety thinks that the NFL itself will end within the next 30 years. "I don't think it will be in existence," he said. "I think with the direction things are going ... there's going to come a point where fans are going to get fed up with it." Pollard — who has been repeatedly fined for hard hits — also believes that we haven't seen the worst of what could happen during a game. "The only thing I'm waiting for … is a guy dying on the field," he said. "We've had everything else happen there except for a death." We hope he's wrong, on both counts. [Source]
