Another concussion-plagued ex-NFL player has brain trauma

1/12/2013

A mixture of anger, skepticism and sympathy is surging across Twitter today as another ex-NFL player is found with career-related brain trauma. Former Cleveland Browns quarterback Bernie Kosar says he is being treated in Florida — days after speculation that NFL legend Junior Seau suffered from brain trauma was confirmed. Seau killed himself last year. Kosar, who incited taunts last month after a bizarre radio interview, says some of his symptoms (such as headaches, sleep issues and chronic ear ringing) have already been reversed. The ex-QB estimates he suffered at least 12 concussions in his career and said he hopes treatment might be available to players in the future. [Source]
