'Beverly Hills Cop' being pitched as spinoff TV series
8/29/2012A heh-heh-heh-heh. We couldn’t help but laugh with glee at rumors that a small-screen version of "Beverly Hills Cop" is being planned. According to reports, Eddie Murphy and "The Shield" creator Shawn Ryan are pitching a TV series, based on the film trilogy, to networks in Hollywood. Murphy, who originally starred as police officer Axel Foley, is expected to produce the TV series and play a supporting character role as the chief of police in Detroit. The lead character will be Foley’s son, who will be unleashed on the City of Angels to cause mayhem and break all the rules. Duh duh, duh da-duh duh duh ... [Source]
