Unless you are Bice, an Italian restaurant in midtown Manhattan, which is celebrating 25 years in business by unveiling a dish that costs more than your monthly mortgage payment — a $2,013 order of pasta served on a gold plate designed by Gianni Versace. The plate is valued at $350, which means one-percenters who order the dish are paying more than $1,600 for “fresh ingredients” of “mixed wild mushrooms,” two pounds of lobster and “shaved seasonal black truffles.” [Source]
