'Big Bang Theory' star Jim Parsons comes out
5/24/2012It's official: Jim Parsons, who plays lovably weird nerd Sheldon in the hit sitcom "The Big Bang Theory," is gay. But there's no splashy "I'm Out and Proud!" magazine covers for the two-time Emmy winner. He quietly came out in an interview with the New York Times, which profiled the 39-year-old actor and simply noted "Mr. Parsons is gay and in a 10-year relationship." The news won't come as a big bang to those in the know: The National Enquirer reported way back in 2010 that Parsons had married his longtime boyfriend Todd Spiewack.
