Little chef's sister starts petition for gender neutral oven toy
12/4/2012McKenna Pope, 13, is asking Hasbro to also feature boys in the packaging and advertising materials for their Easy Bake Oven toy. In her Change.org petition, which now has more than 22,000 signatures, McKenna says her four-year-old brother loves cooking and has asked Santa for an Easy Bake Oven. The toy only comes in pink hues, however, and McKenna wants more colors available, so her brother knows "it's not 'wrong' for him to want to be a chef." McKenna asks for support to create "gender quality, and help the children of today become what they're destined to be tomorrow." Right on, sister! [Source]
