Bill Clinton given made-up title of Father of the Year
1/10/2013In what seems like the most arbitrary title ever bestowed upon anyone, Bill Clinton has been named the 2013 Father of the Year by the equally made-up sounding National Father’s Day Council. The award seems to have very little to do with Clinton's actual fathering abilities (or, indeed, his sometimes-wobbly rep as a family man) as it does with his long list of global service achievements. Accordingly, the organization says it "has as its mission the recognition and awarding of honors to role model contemporary Fathers and Mothers" — so basically, it's an all-purpose award you can only get if you've had a kid. Kinda random, guys. [Source]
