Bill Gates says Boy Scouts should end ban on gays 'because it's 2013'
3/15/2013Bill Gates says it's beyond time for the Boy Scouts of America to lift its ban on gay Scouts and leaders. "Absolutely," he said Wednesday night in Washington, D.C., during the first of Politico's "Playbook Cocktails" interviews. "Because it's 2013." Bureau chief Mike Allen quizzed him about his own time as a Scout. "[I learned] how to tie knots, how to weave baskets, how to hike long distances without complaining too much," Gates said. Don't expect him to show up at the Microsoft office with a neckerchief and a uniform: He's abandoned most of his scouting skills, though he says he still ties knots every once in a while. [Source]
