Homeless man returns accidentally donated engagement ring
2/14/2013Sarah Darling thought nothing of dumping the change in her wallet into the cup of a homeless man she encountered in Kansas City’s Plaza district. Until the following day, when she realized she’d given away more than a few coins — her engagement ring was also resting in the man’s cup. That man, Billy Ray Harris, didn’t realize what had happened until an hour after Darling had left. Darling said she took the ring off because it was bothering her, and forgot she’d put it in her wallet. She went back and asked Harris if he had her ring, which he returned. A relieved and grateful Darling gave him all the cash she was carrying at the time. [Source]
