Accidentally packed kitty survives international flight

Don't blame this kitty for looking disheveled. You would too if you'd just survived a 3,400-mile Cairo-to-Nottingham journey packed in a suitcase. Seven-year-old Bisou was doing what cats do (when they're not being jerks) and napping in the comfy clothes in her owner Mervat Ciuti's packed suitcase. Too bad she didn't purr more loudly; when it was time to go, Ciuti zipped the case, cat and all. Miraculously, the Persian survived getting tossed around by baggage handlers and stacked up in the cargo hold. It was in a taxi in the U.K. that Ciuti discovered Bisou when a relative phoned to say the cat was missing. Well-traveled Bisou is now in quarantine awaiting shipment back to Egypt. [Source]
