Thousands of out-of-date Brits are still watching B&W TV
1/10/2013While you're streaming movies onto your 5-inch HD touch-screen tablet, 13,000 British households are still watching telly on black-and-white sets. To refresh your memory, those are clunky boxes decked with rabbit ears displaying images in shades of gray. The astonishing figure comes from England's TV licensing authority which charges households about $78 per year for the privilege of watching one of those archaic behemoths, or about $230 to view in color. "Learned journalists seeking black and white tv watchers on twitter." [Source]
