Man charged with planning Aurora-style shooting at 'Twilight' film
11/16/2012Just a few months after a dozen people were killed at an Aurora, Colo., movie theater, a similar tragedy was narrowly averted. Blaec Lammers, a 20-year-old from Bolivar, Mo., was charged on Friday with first-degree assault, armed criminal action and making a terrorist threat. His mother called police on Thursday, concerned that her son had purchased assault rifles. After questioning, Lammers revealed to authorities he had been having homicidal thoughts and had purchased the guns and 400 rounds of ammunition along with tickets to "Breaking Dawn – Part 2" with the intention of killing moviegoers. His other plan was to shoot people at Wal-Mart, so he could steal more ammunition once he ran out. [Source]
