Amazing blind dog knows how to fetch, wins pet competition

Jack, an inspiring Labrador, won the water category of a U.K. pet competition after retrieving objects thrown into a pond -- and oh yeah, he’s completely blind.  (See photos of Jack in action above.) Retinal atrophy cost the dog his sight three years ago, so Jack relies on his sense of smell. He used to bring his owners rocks from ponds until they started playing along, throwing objects for him to fetch. Buoyant Jack has won a $324 prize with his special skills and his owner, Margaret Simpson, couldn’t be more proud: “Jack really is the happiest dog we’ve ever had and a sociable dog, and despite all that has happened to him, he doesn’t let any of it hold him back.” [Source]
