When we say the Blue Ribbon Bacon Festival in Des Moines, Iowa, is a shortcut to heaven, we mean it's exactly how we picture paradise: 10,000 pounds of sizzling bacon served in every conceivable form. And it's all being consumed by happy throngs of people wearing Viking hats and pig noses. Wow, that's a lot of bacon.
