Usually unintelligible Bob Dylan clear on how slavery ruined America

9/14/2012

Bob Dylan has taken time out from mumbling into his microphone to make a controversial political statement: The stigma of slavery has ruined America, he told Rolling Stone. In an interview in the issue that hits newsstands Friday, the 71-year-old singer and harmonica enthusiast says America has never overcome the shame of being "founded on the backs of slaves" and that "people (are) at each other's throats just because they are of a different color." He has no opinion about whether or not President Obama is helping change the climate. The usually enunciation-challenged Dylan begins his tour across our ruined nation on October 13. [Source]
