Not content to wreck Boston's season, Valentine wrecks bike too

The Boston Red Sox had a horrible season, repeatedly described as a train wreck. Add bike wreck to that metaphor. Struggling manager Bobby Valentine admitted that he crashed his bicycle in Central Park on Tuesday while he tried to ride and read a text at the same time. Valentine said he lost control when he swerved to avoid two tourists' umbrellas, although we'd argue he lost control in, say, April. "I shouldn't have been reading a text while I was riding," he said. "That's the wrong thing to do." Valentine escaped with minor injuries and a few bandages, while his last place Red Sox were diagnosed as terminally awful. [Source]
