Your sleep position might reveal more about you than you think
10/19/2012Your body position during sleep reflects personality and emotional state, according to a possibly-not-very-scientific assessment by "body language expert" Robert Phipps. He says when we sleep in the curled-up fetal position, we're seeking comfort. Sleeping on the side, but with arms and legs straight, a position Phipps calls "The Log,"is associated with stubbornness. The "Yearner" indicates the chasing of dreams and is characterized by lying on the side with arms outstretched. Face down, with arms out, Phipps calls "Freefall," and we supposedly do it when our lives are out of control. According to the survey, no one sleeps on their back, but if they did, we would call it "Sleeping On Your Back" and assume it indicates a desire to, um, sleep on your back. [Source]
