School bans bottled water as eco-kids cheer, await 'nanny state' cries
1/14/2013It sure is getting tough to drink a beverage on the East Coast these days. After New York City outlawed sugary soda and Concord, Mass., made bottled water illegal, the University of Vermont has followed suit, banning bottled water sales at its Burlington campus. Staffers have converted on-campus drinking fountains into bottle-filling stations in hopes of curbing environmental impact. While most people appear psyched on the new eco-policy ("keep it rolling clean and green vermont!" and "Amazing breakthrough!"), many onlookers will find it tyrannical, if Concord was any indication ("this is the stupidest **** i've ever heard," writes one social poster.
