See the Coast Guard's incredible rescue of HMS Bounty crew
10/30/2012This amazing video shows the Coast Guard rescuing 14 crew members of the HMS Bounty by helicopter in extremely heavy seas off the coast of North Carolina. The heroic rescuers hauled the crew members up in baskets from their inflatable life rafts after they were forced to abandon the sinking ship. Hurricane Sandy had whipped the Atlantic Ocean into massive waves that topped out at around 18-feet during the rescue, the Coast Guard said. One crew member has died and the captain is missing.
