There’s really no way to soften the edges of a story about a puppy shot with a crossbow. A puppy. Shot. With a crossbow. Right. Oh wait, there is a saving grace to it all: The heart-wrenchingly cute victim is going to recover. The abandoned, three-month-old Jack Russell/shepherd mix sustained the wound to his leg in Shiprock, N.M. Vets in nearby Farmington removed the arrow and transferred him to the Humane Society in Durango, Colo., where officials predict he’ll be an “easy adoption.” They’ve also named the pup Bow. As opposed to Arrow. Police have no leads on the shooter. [Source]
