Rome Alone: kid loses Mom and is found on flight to Italy
7/25/2012Eat your heart out Macauley Culkin. An 11-year-old boy managed to board a plane traveling from Manchester, England, to Rome after disappearing from his mother in the airport terminal. Liam Corcoran managed to board the Jet2.com plane without holding a passport, tickets or boarding pass, and was only found out when fellow passengers raised the alarm midflight after realizing he was heading to Rome alone. He apparently managed to get through security checks by mingling with members of another family at Manchester Airport. A spokesperson for the airline said: "We have launched a full investigation into what is a serious incident, and the staff involved have been suspended pending the outcome." [Source]
Are you surprised the boy got through the security checks?
