Boy, 6, walks into his Marine dad's arms for the first time

5/10/2012

A U.S. Marine got a touching surprise from his 6-year-old son when he returned from serving in Afghanistan. Prior to his deployment, doctors had told Staff Sgt. Jeremy Cooney that his son, who has cerebral palsy, would never walk. Yet while his dad was off fighting for his country, the boy learned to walk, and his mom decide to keep it a secret from her husband until his homecoming.

Watch as the sergeant arrives home for the first time from war to be greeted by his son walking into his arms. It will leave a lump in your throat, we promise.
