Boy fakes own kidnapping to get out of parent-teacher conference

Think back to your days in elementary school. Chances are at one point the thought of upcoming parent-teacher conferences scared the crap out of you. An 11-year-old boy in Spain, terrified that his folks would soon be finding out about his poor grades, sprang into action and faked his own kidnapping as a way to stop the meeting. Before the appointment, the boy sent a text message to his father, a police officer, that he'd been kidnapped and was locked in the trunk of a car. The boy's father eventually noticed that pair of keys to one of the family's apartments was missing, and when he went there, found his son hiding.
