Boy fakes own kidnapping to get out of parent-teacher conference
1/24/2013Think back to your days in elementary school. Chances are at one point the thought of upcoming parent-teacher conferences scared the crap out of you. An 11-year-old boy in Spain, terrified that his folks would soon be finding out about his poor grades, sprang into action and faked his own kidnapping as a way to stop the meeting. Before the appointment, the boy sent a text message to his father, a police officer, that he'd been kidnapped and was locked in the trunk of a car. The boy's father eventually noticed that pair of keys to one of the family's apartments was missing, and when he went there, found his son hiding. No word yet on when the rescheduled conference will be held. [Source]
