Boy nonchalantly shares umbrella with deer on street

After bathing in the unspeakable cuteness of this pictures for several minutes, one is compelled to ask the timeless question: "How'd that happen?" It turns out this photo was taken in Nara, Japan, where protected deer are allowed to run free and are obviously pretty accustomed to the presence of humans - and vice versa, as the humans in the vicinity are not at all surprised to see a boy and a deer chillaxing together. Upon closer inspection, however, the woman half cropped out of the photo may be the boy's mom, taking a picture. One Reddit commenter claims a friend got Lyme Disease from petting a deer at Nara, so keep the interspecies hugging to a minimum.
