Sweet-toothed kid spends parents' savings on candy
11/8/2012A nine-year-old boy in the Ukraine is now presumably grounded for life after blowing his parents' savings on candy for himself and his friends. Showing yet again that it's wise to stash your cash in the bank, the boy found nearly $4,000 hidden in a couch at home. The resourceful sugar addict had the cash ($3,300 in U.S. dollars and 600 euros) converted into Ukrainian hrynas, which he then spent on a candy-buying binge that lasted a few days. An adult friend who helped the boy convert the currency was reportedly given a tip. We predict cavities and strained family relations for some time to come. [Source]
