Boys killed after mom throws them out window, say reports

A Russian woman has been arrested after allegedly throwing her two sons, ages 4 and 7, from the window of the family's 15th-floor apartment in Dolgoprudny, outside Moscow. According to reports, Galina Ryabkhova was calm after the incident. "Yes, I threw them away," she told a neighbor who asked her if the bodies on the ground were her children's, and told police the pair were now "angels in heaven." Neighborhood gossips have put forward several theories as to why she might have done it, with one suggesting she wanted to punish her husband for a perceived affair. Others pointed to financial problems. "She did complain to neighbors that she and her husband were incompatible, said something about a difficult financial situation. But we saw nothing suspicious," a neighbor is quoted as saying. It's expected that Ryabkhova will be moved to a psychiatric facility.
