'Boys' parody shows HBO’s 'Girls' how the other half lives
8/2/2012Why should only girls get their own show about the trials and tribulations of being broke and creative in your 20s? Finally we get the other side with the NSFW "Boys," a parody of HBO's "Girls" that shows how hard it is to realize your dreams of being a wannabe filmmaker in Los Angeles. The best jab in "Boys" comes not in its self-obsessed, clichéd dialog, but rather its attack on "Girls'" nepotism-riddled cast. The HBO stars all have famous parents, so not to be outdone, "Boys" stars the fictional sons of Wolf Blitzer, Pat Benatar and Daniel Craig to show that being in your 20s is pathetically hard for both sexes.
